The implementation of the Person-Centred Care Model (PCC Model) in Gerontology Centres requires intense training of the professionals involved in providing care.

In addition to the training, it is necessary to offer ongoing advice and monitoring of these professionals from expert advisers that respond to the concerns and needs arising on a daily basis, separate from the theoretical approaches.

Therefore, it deals with addressing real and specific difficulties that occur at each centre. The SIM-PCC project, financed by the Basque Government and co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF funds from the European Union), aims to create a serious game as support for the implementation of the PCC model in Gerontology Centres.
