International Forum on Loneliness, Health and Care

  Date:
21/11/2018 to 23/11/2018
 Type: Congress
 Line of Knowledge: Psychosocial area
 Location: Madrid

Loneliness is a social phenomenon and a deeply personal experience that makes it complex to address. Unwanted loneliness has become a public health problem to which Madrid City Council has been responding through various initiatives such as the Madrid City of Care Plan.

The aim of the International Forum on Loneliness, Health and Care, organised by Madrid Salud, to be held on 21, 22 and 23 November 2018 in Madrid, Spain, is to address loneliness in all its dimensions. In addition to debate and reflection, the Forum aims to seek tools to help break isolation and unwanted loneliness while making loneliness visible and attending to it as a voluntary and creative choice.

This Forum will provide the opportunity to generate an international meeting space for professionals, experts, organisations, universities, entities, institutions and international bodies. It will also enable the search for collaboration strategies between cities from different countries and public and private institutions.
