IV National Congress of Psychology: "Nothing psychological is alien to us".

  Date:
21/07/2019 to 24/07/2019
 Type: Congress
Line of Knowledge: Planning and models of care
 Location: Vitoria-Gasteiz

Vitoria-Gasteiz is hosting this interesting event in which Mayte Sancho, Director of Planning at Matia Fundazioa, will give a talk entitled: "Person-centred services and organisations" in which she will talk about the growing interest in the gerontological care sector in the so-called person-centred care models. Although its implementation at national level is very incipient, still confusing and with little support from scientific evidence and good practices that make the generalisation of this model possible, it can be observed that in some cases it is already recognised in social services regulations, technical specifications and especially in training programmes for professionals of different qualifications. We will review the road that has been travelled, as a result of which the need to develop new formulas for assessment and intervention in both home and residential services is evident, as well as highlighting the value of "the details", "the small things", so that personalisation in treatment is possible and life has meaning.
