Laura Fernández

Researcher

Laura Fernández is a Sociocultural Anthropologist and works as a social researcher at the Institute.

Professionally linked to the world of functional diversity since 2002, she has developed her activity mainly within the Third Sector, managing projects related to the areas of independent living, innovation and support for decision making in people with intellectual functional diversity. In recent years, she has focused on dissemination, training and research in cognitive accessibility, support for decision making and adaptation of supports and personalized and respectful living systems with the person's life stage.

She is currently completing her doctoral thesis in Advanced Studies in Human Rights at the Carlos III University, where she is researching the role of technology in supporting the decision making of women with functional diversity in the exercise of their sexual and reproductive rights.
