International Nurses' Day celebration event

Next Friday, May 10th, the University of the Basque Country will celebrate the International Nurses Day with a symbolic recognition to all nurses working in the geriatric and gerontological field.

Our colleagues Karol Machiñena, Maria Dolores Martínez and Jaione Elexpuru will participate in the event.

The event will take place in the Salón de Grados of the Donostia/San Sebastián Section of the Faculty of Medicine and Nursing and will begin at 12:00. It can also be followed in streaming.

II International Nurses' Day Scientific Conference 2023

The Scientific Conference of the International Nurses' Day 2023 organised by the Official College of Nursing of Las Palmas (CELP) held its third and final session at the Hotel Santa Catalina, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, analysing social change in health care as the central theme.

Our colleague and co-director of Matia Instituto, Erkuden Aldatz, will be among the speakers invited to talk about experiences in the change of care model, presenting the project "Como en Casa".

Society is constantly evolving, presenting new needs that professionals must face. What is the 21st century patient like? Is the profession prepared for new changes? To what extent can public bodies help to respond to these new needs?

These are some of the questions that will be addressed in the 2nd session of the Nursing and Progress Cycle promoted by the Faculty of Nursing of the University of Navarra, in which a group of directors of nursing will debate at a round table on the new dynamics arising between nursing professionals and society in the 21st century.

Nursing Now Conference: Visibilisation and Leadership

Nursing Now is an initiative launched by the International Council of Nurses (ICN) and the World Health Organization (WHO), which seeks to place Nursing at the centre of health development. The campaign has been taking shape in different countries and regions, including the Basque Country, with a conference to be held on the 14th at the Bidebarrieta Municipal Library in Bilbao.
