The aim of the research is to reveal the social dynamics that have had an impact on the care of elderly and dependent people, in order to give visibility to the difficulties that carers have had to face the health crisis, as well as the strategies to face it from the point of view of creativity, empowerment and solidarity.

Just one year ago, all our hopes were pinned on vaccination as the only way to end the health pandemic caused by COVID-19. We lived through a very tough 2020, with fear and suffering. But where we showed that, despite everything, even the Administration's interest in keeping the elderly locked up and isolated, they can (and should) be treated with dignity. They showed us that they are stronger than they think they are and, unwittingly, they gave us new energy to continue to be by their side and that of their families.
