Housing plays a key role in how we want to grow old. At this public talk, we will learn about two initiatives launched by the Basque Government and Alokabide that explore new opportunities to facilitate access to housing and promote alternative ways of living and coexisting.

The session will feature Patricia Val, Director-General of Alokabide, Arkaitz Arbaizagoitia, Finance Director of Alokabide, and Denis Itxaso, Minister for Housing and Urban Agenda of the Basque Government.

One of the main challenges facing today's social and healthcare systems is caring for an increasingly ageing population. It is estimated that, in our immediate context, the number of people over 65 will double in the coming years. Despite ageing and the frailty that can come with the passage of time, we should not give up the possibility of continuing to live independently with the necessary support.
