40th Congress of the Spanish Society of Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism

The event took place at the Palacio de Congresos in Malaga, organised by the Spanish Society of Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism, with a scientific programme combining round tables, conferences, meetings with experts and workshops aimed at exploring various aspects of our field of knowledge, ranging from dietetics to complex medical nutritional therapy.
Our colleagues, Esther Laso and Mireia de la Parra Otamendi, a pharmacist and nutritionist respectively, participated in this meeting with three poster presentations, in which they shared research findings on the diagnosis of miapenia in the elderly, as well as data on the impact of nutritional aspects on functional capacity in patients with hip fractures.
