41st Congress of the Spanish Society of Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism

The scientific conference, organised by the Spanish Society of Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism, will address key issues relating to clinical nutrition, nutritional support and metabolism, in both hospital and outpatient settings. Topics will range from nutrition in cancer patients to the application of artificial intelligence and telemedicine in nutritional support, including the prevention and treatment of disease-related malnutrition (DRM). All this will be approached from a multidisciplinary perspective, taking into account doctors, nurses, pharmacists and dietitians-nutritionists, amongst many other healthcare professionals interested in clinical nutrition.

Our colleagues Mireia de la Parra, a nutritionist, and Esther Laso, a clinical pharmacist, are taking part in the event, presenting various papers focusing on nutritional status (disease-related malnutrition) and muscle status (sarcopenia) in older people following a hip fracture.
