In this conference, Sara Marsillas, researcher at Matia Institute, will analyse the diversity of experiences of loneliness experienced by the elderly, as well as the keys that can help to build a healthy relationship with this feeling. 

The event is organised by Duintasuna Elkartea, the Association of Retired and Pensioners of Gipuzkoa, for the afternoon of 5 October in the Sala Reina in Errenteria. Limited capacity.

Course of the specific and on-demand training programme: Older Adults and Quality of Life. Unwanted loneliness in older adults

The course, aimed at both professionals and students of the USC, "Elderly and Quality of Life: unwanted loneliness in older adults", is part of the specific training studies and on demand organised by the Centre of Own Studies of the USC and is organised by the Red Cross Chair. These studies are oriented to continuous training, aimed at specific groups, in this case, with knowledge, experience and interest in gerontological intervention.

Dissemination day of the results of the QAVAD project

Conference on Loneliness and the Elderly - Cycle of Social Challenges in the Balearic Islands

This event, part of the cycle of social challenges in the Balearic Islands organised by Club Diario de Mallorca and the "la Caixa" Foundation, will consist of a conference focused on giving visibility to the problem of loneliness, how it affects the elderly, how to deal with this reality and what actions are being implemented in the Balearic Islands to accompany people.

5th European Good Practices in Friendliness Day

"Euskadi Lagunkoia" is a project of the Department of Employment and Social Policies of the Basque Government in collaboration with Matia Instituto, which aims to promote the participation of citizens and the public, private and social sectors to develop a movement of friendliness in the promotion of facilitating living environments for people who are ageing. 

There are currently more than 60 cities and towns throughout the Basque Country that are members of this Network and more than 800 included in the WHO World Network.
