Presentation of the #100fluencers study: ‘Analysis of stereotypes of ageing in the digital media’.
How are older people talked about in the media? Have there been changes in how this vital stage is reflected and in the social role of this segment of the population?
On 4 July, we will be presenting the #100fluencers study, a MatiaZaleak initiative that forms part of a project to raise social awareness about the perception of old age and its protagonists, the elderly.
In the first part of this meeting, which will take place in Lugaritz (Donostia-San Sebastián), we will be able to learn about the details and conclusions of a study that offers an ‘Analysis of stereotypes of ageing in the digital media’. Afterwards, Juan Albarrán, researcher at Matia Institute, and Elena del Barrio will hold a discussion on the subject.
In a second part, the international expert on healthy ageing and ageism, Vânia de la Fuente-Núñez, will present her book: ‘The age trap’, sharing a discussion with Elena del Barrio.
