Esther Laso

Doctorate in Biosciences (University of Salamanca, 2018). Specialist in Hospital Pharmacy (2013–2017), Diploma in Public Health (Carlos III Institute, 2016) and Degree in Pharmacy (University of Salamanca, 2011).
Since completing her specialisation, she has developed her career in different institutions, working in the fields of pharmaceutical care and nutrition (Salamanca University Healthcare Complex), geriatrics (Granollers General Hospital) and clinical trials and research (University of Navarra Clinic), among others. In addition, she has participated as a researcher in various projects and as a collaborating lecturer at the University of Salamanca (USAL) and the University of the Basque Country (UPV).
She currently works in the pharmacy department of the Matia Foundation, focusing on simplifying treatments and optimising care in geriatrics. She participates in strategic lines of research on chronicity, such as pharmacotherapeutic adaptation in elderly patients, fracture prevention in frail patients, improving the nutritional status of the elderly, and medication safety in residential settings.
She is the author of several publications and a member of the Spanish Society of Hospital Pharmacy (SEFH) and the Spanish Society of Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism (SENPE).
