Hariak HUB is a technical support and knowledge centre within the Hariak Strategy, designed to support initiatives and projects that align with its objectives and adhere to the Strategy.
The main functions of this HUB are:
- General technical secretariat: to support the coordination, supervision and promotion of the Strategy, as set out in its First Action Plan 2022–2027.
- Fostering and developing the HARIAK network and its participatory forums, promoting collaboration between stakeholders and mobilising the regional ecosystem to prevent and tackle loneliness.
- Monitoring, supporting and providing technical guidance to projects affiliated with the Strategy (particularly those arising from the ADINBERRI-HARIAK grant scheme).
- Integration, coordination and dissemination of learning and knowledge regarding loneliness and social connection through the Observatory on Loneliness-SIA and other related communication platforms.
- Ensuring the Strategy’s ethical perspective by promoting responsible practices. Evaluation: Providing a system for evaluating projects and their impact. Managing and channelling public enquiries regarding loneliness.
At Matia, we contribute more specifically in the role of expert consultancy, providing specialised knowledge on loneliness, methodological support and guidance in the design and implementation of innovative initiatives within the framework of the HARIAK Strategy and the European community of practice KORALE.
