One Hundred Proposals to Advance the Wellbeing and Good Treatment of People as They Age. Bases for a Plan of Action

Proyectos

Throughout this project, aspects were collected that, above all, are considered novel and sometimes complex and that, therefore must be analysed from different perspectives and disciplinary and institutional cultures, and should be tested on an experimental basis, to search for the best ways to approach future ageing. Consequently, this proposal does not address all the thematic blocks that are typically included in gerontological planning, considering they are already covered by other plans of other Basque administrations and the cited legislation. Issues such as leisure activities and participation, access to cultural and social goods, services coverage, minimum incomes and pensions and other issues have not been included in this initiative.

The proposals that are made are the result of an extensive and rigorous review process and knowledge generation, as well as a set of initiatives that ensure the inclusion and participation of public administrations, associations, professionals and experts through which numerous interviews will be conducted in detail.

Collaboration agreement between the Ministry of Employment and Social Affairs of the Basque Government and the Fundación Matia Gerontological Institute
