The Department of Employment and Social Policies of the Basque Government invites you to the Conference "Good practices in friendliness: European and national experiences", next 15th of November in the Auditorium of the Gugenheim Museum in Bilbao.

This conference is part of the "Euskadi Lagunkoia" project, the general objective of which is to promote the participation of citizens and the public, private and social sectors to develop a friendliness movement in the promotion of facilitating living environments for the elderly. The Network of Municipalities is currently made up of 50 towns and cities throughout the Basque Country.

The age-friendly environment movement was initiated by the World Health Organisation in 2005 under the name "Age-Friendly Cities and Communities". At present, 400 cities and communities in 37 countries are working towards this goal.

This event provides the opportunity to learn about different good practices at European and State level that respond to this challenge. The aim of this conference is to share innovative and creative experiences that serve as inspiration for the development of age-friendliness in the Basque Country.
