Housing plays a key role in how we want to grow old. At this public talk, we will learn about two initiatives launched by the Basque Government and Alokabide that explore new opportunities to facilitate access to housing and promote alternative ways of living and coexisting.

The session will feature Patricia Val, Director-General of Alokabide, Arkaitz Arbaizagoitia, Finance Director of Alokabide, and Denis Itxaso, Minister for Housing and Urban Agenda of the Basque Government.

It is of particular interest to those interested in intergenerational relations, community building or reflections on wellbeing.

Joining us from our headquarters is the Chair of the Board of Trustees, Maria Carmen Garmendia Lasa, who will share her perspective on ageing, society and wellbeing.

As part of its intergenerational cultural programme, the Círculo de Bellas Artes and Padula & Partners are organising the ‘Senior Future’ Forums, a Merck initiative in collaboration with the Banco Sabadell Foundation.

This first forum, entitled ‘The new majority of a future that is already here’, will focus on aspects such as halting the problem of ageism or age discrimination, which requires effective solutions in a society with an increasing number of senior citizens and workers.
