Housing plays a key role in how we want to grow old. At this public talk, we will learn about two initiatives launched by the Basque Government and Alokabide that explore new opportunities to facilitate access to housing and promote alternative ways of living and coexisting.

The session will feature Patricia Val, Director-General of Alokabide, Arkaitz Arbaizagoitia, Finance Director of Alokabide, and Denis Itxaso, Minister for Housing and Urban Agenda of the Basque Government.

Programme

  • 12.45 pm – 1.00 pm: The Bizigune Programme: new opportunities to facilitate access to housing. Patricia Val, Chief Executive of Alokabide.
  • 1.00 pm – 1.15 pm: New models of intergenerational housing: alternative ways of living and coexisting. Denis Itxaso, Minister for Housing and Urban Agenda of the Basque Government.
  • 1.15 pm – 1.30 pm: Space for dialogue and the exchange of ideas

A time to share thoughts, ask questions and discuss the challenges and opportunities these models offer in continuing to promote new ways of living as we age.
