65th SEGG Congress and 28th SCGiG Congress

  Date:
18/06/2025 to 20/06/2025
 Type: Congress
 Line of Knowledge: Cares
 Location: Barcelona

An event that, as every year, brings together specialists in geriatrics and gerontology to discuss how to age better and how to work together to achieve this. This year, under the slogan ‘Innovate, integrate, interconnect: our present and future’, the challenges posed by the longevity of our society will once again be addressed, along with the opportunity to adopt innovative solutions, integrate healthcare and social care from a community perspective rather than just a care perspective, and the need to work in complex teams in a cross-cutting manner.
Our organisation will present several oral presentations and posters on some of the topics relevant to our field of activity.
Paula García, researcher at Matia Instituto, will give an oral presentation on ‘Evaluating transformation processes in residential centres towards person-centred care within the framework of the Como en Casa project’ and will present a poster on ‘Home rehabilitation with case management: a commitment to preventing institutionalisation’.
Marta Fernández will talk about ‘Addressing loneliness through friendliness: developing practical resources’.
Juan Albarrán, researcher at Matia Institute, will present a poster entitled: Enhancing the community role of pharmacies in prevention: a participatory experience with older people and local agents.
Alex Ferro will attend from Matia Hospital to present a total of five posters prepared by the Pharmacy team.
