The Directorate General for the Elderly and Social Services, of the Department of Equity, Social Rights and Employment, is organising its new annual technical conferences for professionals.

The conference will be dedicated to active ageing and the indices related to its measurement (synthetic indices, data, indicators...).

It is a way of highlighting the need for reliable data for the analysis of the situation of the city, in relation to different aspects of interest in the field of the elderly. On the other hand, it is essential to highlight inequalities/inequities.

This conference aims to be a space for the exchange of knowledge and experiences, and an opportunity to approach some reliable data on the analysis of the city in relation to different issues related to the elderly. Aspects related to employment, independent, healthy and safe living, capacity, appropriate environments for ageing and models of social participation will be discussed. All of this, as always, framed within the ambitious project of making our city increasingly friendly to the elderly and to the rest of the population.
