15th European Lares-EAN Congress: "Securing rights in long-term care".

  Date:
27/10/2021 to 29/10/2021
 Type: Congress
Line of Knowledge: Planning and models of care
 Location: Online

Just one year ago, all our hopes were pinned on vaccination as the only way to end the health pandemic caused by COVID-19. We lived through a very tough 2020, with fear and suffering. But where we showed that, despite everything, even the Administration's interest in keeping the elderly locked up and isolated, they can (and should) be treated with dignity. They showed us that they are stronger than they think they are and, unwittingly, they gave us new energy to continue to be by their side and that of their families.

In 2021, the success of vaccination has once again made our centres what they should never have ceased to be: safe homes.

This event organised by Lares, in collaboration with the European Ageing Network (EAN), provides us with a space for debate in which to provide solutions to the problems faced by the Third Sector.

Our colleague from Matia Instituto, Laura Fernández, will participate on Friday 29 October in the round table: "New models of care from the Third Sector entities" moderated by Mª Ángeles Sánchez Trillo, and in which she will be accompanied by Beatriz Castellanos Vidal and Susana Ruiz Antúnez.
