This event, organised by the Col-legi de Treball Social de Catalunya, will focus on two of the challenges on which social work is working most intensely: the transition from an individualised model of home care to a more community-based model and the mistreatment of the elderly.

Programme

17:00h. Presentation of the event by Mercè Civit, Vice-Dean of the Official College of Social Work of Catalonia and Teresa Llorens Carbonell, Coordinator of the Department of Equality and Social Sustainability of Barcelona Provincial Council.

17:10h. Introduction of the event and presentation of the papers by Alfred Rivera, social worker at the Active Older People Unit - PMSAPM of Martorell City Council and member of the Older People's group of the Official Association of Social Work of Catalonia.

17:20h. First presentation: "Experiences in Social Work from the local sphere in the mistreatment of the elderly. Results and proposals - Martorell City Council", by Miriam Sancho, social worker of the Social Services of Martorell City Council.

18:10h. Second talk: "Etxean Bizi-Living at home", by Maider Azurmendi, head of Community Cooperation at Matia.

18:50h. Question and answer session with the audience, via Youtube chat.

19:00h. Closing by Mercè Civit, Vice-Dean of the Official College of Social Work of Catalonia.
