For several years now, she has focused more on the community and on helping people remain in their communities of reference and homes. Maider supports local authorities in creating local care ecosystems. She is currently responsible for community networks at Matia Fundazioa.
Projects
In Azpeitia, a process was launched in 2024 to move towards a local care ecosystem, with the aim of ensuring that everyone living in the municipality has access to continuous and consistent care pathways, making it easier for everyone to carry out their life plans.
Care ecosystems are based on the development of local experiences that help to create more personalised, flexible and community-based care models, based on social innovation, promoting care at home and improving synergies between the social and health systems.
